A Voter's Guide For Gun Owners

In the upcoming Ontario Provincial election - October 10, 2007

**NOTE - If you are not worried about the provincial government taking away your personal property (guns, dogs, cars, etc.) then YOU MAY AS WELL STOP READING RIGHT NOW. However, if you care about the loss of your rights and property, read on.

DO YOU WANT FOUR MORE YEARS OF THIS?

LIBERAL CABINET MINISTER MONTE KWINTER - "We in Ontario feel that there's NO REASON FOR ANYBODY TO HAVE A GUN unless you're a sworn officer..."

LIBERAL ATTORNEY-GENERAL MICHAEL BRYANT - "When you weigh the benefits of gun collecting and target shooting against the harm they cause, the harm dramatically outweighs the benefits..."

LIBERAL ATTORNEY-GENERAL MICHAEL BRYANT - "NOBODY NEEDS A HANDGUN. While I have no doubt it is an important activity and hobby for people who collect guns, weighed against the harm that they can cause, the balance is that these are just too dangerous."

PC LEADER JOHN TORY - "...a prohibition on handguns ISN'T NEEDED..."

PC MPP TIM HUDAK - "The federal gun registry has cost Canadians billions of dollars and it has not made our streets any safer. Criminals are already ignoring the laws we have in place, so adding more laws is not going to deter them any further. We need to stop the flow of illegal firearms across our border, increase the number of police on our streets and put an end to the catch-and-release justice system for criminals who use handguns and commit violent crimes."

With that choice it is obvious that there is NO alternative party to vote for. The Liberals and NDP hate gun owners and will erode your rights at every turn.

OUR TAKE ON THE ELECTION

The McGuinty Government has done everything in it's power to make life awful for gun owners.

They supported Paul Martin's handgun ban. After every high profile shooting they want firearm bans for the law-abiding in the belief it will affect criminals.
Under their direction, the Ontario Chief Firearms Office takes weeks to approve transfers as opposed to days under the previous Conservative Government.
Natural Resources Minister David Ramsey has done VIRTUALLY NOTHING to improve conditions for Ontario hunters and fishers.

Don't think a handgun ban will affect you? After the Dawson College shootings the Liberals wanted to ban ALL semi-autos (hunting and target guns as well!)

Right now the only thing protecting gun owners is the will of the Federal Conservatives. But if the federal Liberals replace them and McGuinty is still in power it will be a feeding frenzy on the rights of legal gun owners and hunters. Even if you do not own a handgun, the writing is on the wall. The Liberals want to prohibit civilian ownership of ALL FIREARMS. They must be STOPPED.

The choice is crystal clear. If you want to keep your ability to hunt, fish and own firearms, vote for the Ontario Progressive Conservatives on October 10th !
