SHEARING
Shearing is the process whereby a cutting force is applied perpendicular to the material being sheared, this force causes the material to yield and ultimately break. The facilities at Scott & Spinney Inc. have been designed to shear all types of metals with the capabilities of shearing directly from the original coil.
Shear Specifications: Up to 1" Thick Plate & 10' Wide
BENDING
Scott & Spinney Inc. brake forms all types of steel sections and plate. The process of Press Braking involves an open framed single action press that bends or forms the plate to the desired specifications. Our highly skilled staff has mastered the art of forming a variety of shapes such as cones, trapezoids, parabolas and reducers.
Plate Roll Specifications: Up to 1" Thick Plate & 10’ Wide
ROLLING
The rolling process involves a series of roller dies that progressively shape and contour the metal. Scott & Spinney Inc. has the experience to work with various shapes such as I-Beam, channels, flat bar and square bar.

Scott & Spinney Inc. is prepared and able to evaluate your electrical weaknesses through Infrared Inspection Services, which identifies troublesome areas before it becomes an issue causing fire or equipment failure. We also can provide you with alternative power sources such as Standby Power Generators fueled by Propane, Gasoline, and Diesel incase of power outages, so critical areas can continue to operate.
