(S.C.U.B.A.) Welcome to my web-site. Here is a brief history of my diving experience. I started diving in 1974 with ACUC, when pressure gauges and the octopus were not yet standard diving gear and horse collars were the norm. I am a retired PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and hold certifications in oxygen administration, first-aid & C.P.R., ice diving, wall diving, cavern, intro-cave, nitrox and dry suit diving.
The early 90's took me to Bermuda where I joined the Bermuda Sub-Aqua Club and became a BSAC Advanced Diver and BSAC Club Instructor. In 1995 I earned my PADI Divemaster Certification and have been a PADI member since. As a PADI Divemaster I have travelled to Roatan in Honduras, Bonito and Ilha Bela in Brazil, Cienfuegos in Cuba, the Keys and Ginnie Springs in Florida and Jamaica to experience reef, wreck, drift, wall, cavern, cave, night, deep and boat diving. I have also been to the Bahamas, U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Cozumel, England, Puerto Rico, San Andres, St. Kitts, St. Martin, Curacao and Cabo San Lucas for diving.
In Canada I enjoy diving the wrecks of Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, the Upper St. Lawrence River near Brockville and drift diving the upper Niagara River. My favourite wreck in the St. Lawrence River is the Keystorm. My favourite dive spot in the Niagara Peninsula is the Railway Swing Bridge in the Welland SCUBA Park. Lately, I have been enjoying the solitude of solo diving and experimenting with different rigging and equipment that will keep me safe underwater.
In 2004, I retired from the Canadian Merchant Navy. I am now retired from teaching and enjoy recreational diving and travelling. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.
