ourney of Hope
Last year St. Giles Church, for their 50th Anniversary, did an experiential play which also celebrated the gift that Rio Lane had given our community for 30 years in their festival of lights. We’re now included on the Angelfest Trail.

The original interactive play is the Christmas story told in a new way. The scandal that rocked Nazareth has people looking for a child whose coming has been foretold. Of course, King Herod and his shopaholic queen tried to steal the show but an angel appears to talk about signs of hope. The audience gets involved in looking for the signs and are guided on a walk to "Bethlehem" with its many lights, to experience it for themselves. What does this child, Jesus, say to us and what do we find when we look for him? Last year one lady wrote, "It was awesome. Even my daughter and her boyfriend, who we had to drag kicking and screaming (teenagers, you know) enjoyed it."

Another said, I thought this was going to be a boring church play. I was so wrong. Next time, I’m bringing more people to see this fun production."

A lot of them said, "Do it again."
And we did. Thank you to all who joined us.
