Have You Ever Wondered Why Some People Get So Excited About Jesus?

What is it that He does for people?

Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly." That sounds pretty weighty, but what does it mean? We're all here on this earth. We all have life of some sort. How could Jesus come to give us life, then, it we already have it?

Life with Jesus is a lot more than just existing. In those moments of sadness, He puts His arms of comfort around us. In those times of confusion, He gives direction and a sense of purpose. In times of celebration, He rejoices right along beside us. In moments of loneliness, He is there. Jesus has promised to never leave or forsake those who follow Him.

There's another part to Jesus' promise of life. For He also promises eternal life. Now if you're struggling with problems or your body is wracked with pain or you just cringe at the thought of getting through another day, eternal life might not sound like a great thing. But what about eternal joy, where every day is a celebration? What about eternal peace, where no trouble or anxiety haunts us? What about eternal love, where we know without a doubt that we are cared for, that we matter? Eternal life with Jesus is all these things and more.

Here's a quote from someone who has discovered the difference Jesus has made in her life. After years of struggling with abuse and trials of many types, including two nervous break downs, she writes,

"But I do know in my heart now, that I do truly put my life in the Lord's hands and he will show me the way. I just want to say to you that no matter how bad you think things are in your life and to what point you are at, never give up, because Jesus does care and won't let you down. His love is eternal. And if God sent his Son Jesus to die for my sins to give me eternal life, he will do the same for you if you give him the chance."

This is an offer Jesus makes but it is not something He forces on us. The choice is ours. If you'd like to choose life, talk to Jesus today.
