Port Colborne
The quaint, scenic & historic town of Port Colborne is a growing town on Lake Erie at the end of the Canal. It offers many tourist attractions. A newly completed Welland Canals Recreational Trail, provides a continuous paved venu that extends from the shore of Lake Erie, north along both the existing working canal and the historic past canals, and will eventually join the new trail found in Welland.  Ships can be viewed sailing by hourly from around the world, along a section of the  trail that passes along Port Colborne's historic West Street and its newly completed Promenade.  There are also two active bridges on the present day canal.  The first canal dates back to 1833.  Port Colborne also offers many special events throughout the year - the most recent and well known was last years Tall Ship Challange.  They also have their annual Canal Days Festival, plus many more.  Visit this quaint historic town yourself to see all that it has to offers
