SERIES: ST. LOUIS (K.Liszewski) def. GENEVA (P.Larush)
The first season with the "new generation" of managers. Ken Liszewski and
Paul Larush recruited new members following a near collapse of the existing
WNYSOMBL, which had been in existence since 1979. Six new members
joined the group. In the playoffs, Paul Larush's 40-42 Geneva Cubs stunned both
Cleveland and East Aurora, who both had strong regular seasons, before losing
to Liszewski's Cardinals in the World Series.
