St. Louis dominated the regular season and defeated an upstart East Aurora team
in a 4 game sweep in the World Series. John Brierley was an expansion
team manager of the Niagara Falls Yankees - a team that was drafted by
his father. Russ Golata and Pete Friermeuth were the first co-manager tandem
as the Tonawanda Twins. With the departure of Larush after 1989-90, Liszewski
was the only remaining member of the "old guard" from the original WNYSOMBL.
