WORLD
SERIES: ST. LOUIS (K.Liszewski) def. STEUBENVILLE (E.Taylor)
The first season of play with no divisions. Steubenville, East Aurora, and
St. Louis were the only strong teams. The season ended with an epic
7 game World Series in which the road team won every game. Ed Taylor
and the Rollers were ahead with a chance to take the title when St.Louis
batter Edgar Martinez hit a shocking 2-run 9th inning homer to give the
Cardinals their 4th championship in 5 years.
