WORLD
SERIES: HAGERSTOWN (J.Brierley) def. EAST AURORA (D.Davis)
This season had the most teams ever, 12. Black Rock had a major roller coaster ride,
battling for 1st place for half the year before falling nearly all the way out of the playoffs,
then bouncing back to shock #2 seed Boston in the playoffs. A stunning Bronx sweep
of E.Aurora was voided due to accidental but illegal use of pitcher Danny Graves. E.A.
swept the replayed series. Hagerstown won its first playoff series ever, surviving a 1st round
scare by winning Games 6 & 7 vs. Todd LaFontaine's expansion St. Catharines Trogs - then,
the Storm brewed all the way to the top. After losing the first 2 games of the World Series vs.
E.A., Bonds and M.Vaughn caught fire, and after a 6 game final, J.Brierley's Storm were champs.
