Using CuteFTP (16 and 32-bit Versions)
Open CuteFTP.
You should see the FTP Site Manager window. If not, click
the FTP and select Site Manager. Click Add Site.
The Add Host window will open. Enter the following information:
- Site Label: Web
Pages
- Host Type: Auto-Detect
- Host Address: ftp.vaxxine.com
- Initial Remote Directory:
/userweb/pagename
- User ID: Your
User Name
- Password: Your
Password
- Login Type: Normal
- Transfer Type: Auto-Detect
- Initial Local Directory:
Can be blank
- Local Directory
Filter: Blank
Click OK. You
will be returned to the FTP Site Manager window and Web
Pages should be highlighted (if not, click it). Click the
Connect button. Your screen is divided in half. The left
side is your computer and the right side is our server. On the
remote side, there should be a single folder, EHTML. Do
NOT remove this folder, no files need to be placed in the
EHTML folder. It is used internaly. This directory is the
destination for your Web files. Navigate the left side and find
the files that you want to transfer. To transfer them, it is fairly
simple. All you have to do it select the files that you want,
then click the Commands menu and select Upload....
This will transfer the files to our server. If you want to transfer
files from our server to your hard drive, you would select the
files on the right side and then click Commands and select
Download.
Basically, that is
it. There are many advanced features of CuteFTP that you will
discover with continued use.
