QUESTION: How much is it to enter?
ANSWER: $20.00 per player. Note: any women playing in the women's event and the co-ed event the price for both events is $30.00.

QUESTION: What do I get for my $20.00?
ANSWER: An opportunity to play and socialize with other beach volleyball enthusiasts. Included in the fee are lunch and a non alcoholic drink. A chance to win some really cool prizes!

QUESTION: What level of players will be in these tournaments?
ANSWER: Each event will likely have a variety of player abilities and experience. There is no limit to the level of experience or quality of play for each player. These tournaments, while competitive were created for EVERYONE to enjoy. These tournaments were designed for the 'B' level player but everyone is welcome to come out.

QUESTION: Do I have to play in every event?
ANSWER: No. Just play in the events dates that you want. However, the more events you play in the more points you will earn for the Points Standings plsu if you play in all four events it is only $15.00 per event!

QUESTION: What format will the tournaments be?
ANSWER: All of our tournaments will be pool play with the top teams advancing to the playoffs. All teams will be guaranteed three matches.

QUESTION: Is this for men only?
ANSWER: No. Women are certainly allowed and encouraged to participate. Teams can be male, female or co-ed. Depending upon demand we may in the future have separate divisions but for the time being it is an open division.

QUESTION: Who do I write out payment to?
ANSWER: Payment should be written out to Stephen Akehurst; however cash the day of the event is the most common form of transaction.

QUESTION: Are there prizes to be won?
ANSWER: Yes, prizes will be awarded for each event. Prizes will be determined based on player turnout.

QUESTION: Will there be prizes for the year end POINTS leaders?
ANSWER: Yes there will be prizes awarded to the POINTS Champion.

QUESTION: If I register for an event, and my partner doesn't show up, will I have to forfeit?
ANSWER: Yes, unless you can obtain a partner before your first match.

QUESTION: We've registered but we don't see our name on the entry list?
ANSWER: We may just not have time to update the webpage. The webpage is usually updated once a week.

QUESTION: Are there referees?
ANSWER: No. In order to keep costs down all games are self refereed.

QUESTION: What happens if it rains?
ANSWER: More than likely you will probably get wet. Tournaments are held rain or shine.

QUESTION: What is the difference between the open tournament and the co-ed tournament.
ANSWER: The open tournament consists of four events while the co-ed tournament is one event only.

QUESTION: If I enter as a co-ed team which event should I enter.
ANSWER: You can play in both events, but only the open events are part of the points series. The calibre of the open event will probably be higher than the co-ed event but in saying this we have had co-ed teams win in the open division so it is possible to have some strong co-ed teams entered.

QUESTION: Do I have to play in events to come out to the pick-up?
ANSWER: No. The pick-up is just a chance for players to come out and get in some practice.
