Annual Fishing Derby

What is it all about?
This is a free trout fishing event for children, students and the young at heart. There is no entry fee nor a fishing license required, however there is registration upon arrival. The participants’ name is entered into a draw for a chance to win a prize, whether or not the participant has caught a fish! Names are drawn every hour from 10am-5pm both days. Local and regional merchants donate prizes for the children. Participants should be present to receive their prize. Food will be available for purchase until 4pm. "Hooked On Fishing - Not On Drugs®" combines the teaching of sport fishing, environmental conservation, drug prevention and helps to bring families closer together. It provides students with a positive alternative from drugs through the sport of fishing. This international program is used successfully in a variety of ways by schools, churches, police departments and youth organizations.

Mother's Day Weekend (rain or shine)
Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 am ~ 5:00 pm (No pets, no divers)
