You can almost jump across a lock of the ancient Grand Canal in Dublin. It runs from Dublin to Robertson in County Kildare. Opened in 1779, it carried passengers until 1852 and commercial cargo until 1960.

O'Brien's Tower overlooks the Cliffs of Moher and was constructed by landlord Cornelius O'Brien to impress lady visitors.
The Cliffs of Moher are entirely vertical and rise to a height of 203 meters. A large reception and interpretation centre is now under construction near the cliffs.
